In 2008, a young band rose from the grey mist of monotonous popular music with the goal to break the silence and confront the world with brutal noise that should make necks break and eardrums burst. Today, this band is known as Upon A Red Sky and consists of five young and motivated Austrian musicians - mixing the best aspects of metalcore and deathcore with melodic influences.

Their charismatic frontman and vocalist Chris is well known for his YouTube channel „VokillCovers“, where he covers many songs of various metal bands. He also got the attention of famous bands like Carnifex, Defiler and Breakdown Of Sanity, who shared his covers on their Facebook pages. As the European winner of the Carnifex vocal cover contest, he even shared the stage with them at one of their shows.

Upon A Red Sky are well acknowledged for their intoxicating live shows, the close contact to their fans and their brutal vocals. Their five song EP „In A Crisis“ was released in 2012 and instantly found approval in a number of countries around the globe. The band already shared the stage with well-known bands such as Breakdown of Sanity, Evergreen Terrace, The Casino Brawl, Mastic Scum, Devastating Enemy and Artas and in 2011 they made it to the final round of the Metalchamp Contest.
